ACADEMICS

At Namesake, our curriculum provides students with academics, skill building, reading practice, character and wisdom training, and knowledge of God and His Word. We offer courses and electives that will cultivate critical thinking skills and help prep students for future college success! They can even participate in dual enrollment and earn college credits while in high school. 

Our teaching method promotes individualized learning and a mastery-based approach. Students who are more skilled may progress at a faster rate or excel in areas of strength. On the other hand, students who may need a little more help in a particular area can work at a pace that best suits their specific needs. With this approach, no child gets overlooked or left behind. 

The academic technique that we have embraced to achieve student success is a one-on-one instructional approach with smaller class sizes. Not all students learn the same way or at the same rate. With that in mind, our staff is ready to help students one-on-one with material that they may need some extra instruction in. With a mastery-based approach, students will have a full grasp on subject matter and master those concepts before advancing to the next area of study.
